Stethoscope Stage’s inaugural play festival was held at Texas Christian University on April 9, 2022 at 7:30PM CT in Pepsico Recital Hall. The first half of this event consisted of a staged reading of select monologues and short plays written by people from the medical community and the general public on the 2022 theme of COVID-19. The second portion of the event was a community discussion led by a panel of medical doctors, nurses, and educators. Our special guest panelists included:
- Dr. Mary Suzanne Whitworth, Medical Director of the Infectious Diseases Department at Cook Children’s Hospital
- Dr. Mohanakrishnan “Mo” Sathyamoorthy, Cardiologist within TCU School of Medicine
- Dr. Claudia Perez, Neurologist within TCU School of Medicine
- Dr. Glenda Daniels, Nurse within Harris College of Nursing and Health Sciences
